Joy of Giving Week

A few days ago, while I was on my way to office, thinking about how I could contribute as a volunteer during Joy Of Giving Week (October 2nd to 8th), I suddenly remembered a talk by an NGO head, where he shared a real time experience, that underprivileged kids, although know everything orally, can’t pass in exams because they don’t have the writing practice due to the lack of writing materials like Note books or plain papers. Now what happens is, when they start using whatever limited paged note book they have, their writing is legible and big enough to read well, but…. as the pages of the note book come to an end, their font becomes smaller and smaller because of the fear of not getting more writing material.

Now why not support this cause and help Underprivileged kids write and write well and contribute to their success in exams! As an iVolunteer Volunteer I am aiming to collect and donate 1,500+ books and stationary items like sketch pens, pencils, eraser, sharpener, scale etc to beneficiaries be it underprivileged children, youth or disabled kids who love drawing… This will in turn inspire, shape and hone little ones imaginations…. I am sure you’ll support this campaign too!
